First look at Mockingbird

Bobbi Morse revealed herself as an undercover Agent working for Director Coulson in tonight’s episode of “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” and with her cover blown we can now give you your official first look at actress Adrianne Palicki in her S.H.I.E.L.D. tactical outfit!

“Bobbi Morse is a well-seasoned spy whose ability to slip in and out of undercover situations seamlessly will prove invaluable to our team,” said “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Executive Producer, Jed Whedon. “But her appearance comes as a gut-punch to Hunter, as the history they share is complicated to say the least.”

Along with the first official look at Palicki from next week’s episode, we’ve got the concept art for Mockingbird’s look by the series’ Costume Designer, Ann Foley, along with her thoughts on the look.

“I looked at all of her comic appearances and really wanted to try to bring elements of the look from the comics into the costume that we’re doing now for the show because I know it’s important to the fans,” remarked Foley. “It’s important to me to keep certain elements, but we had to change it, obviously, for practicality, because it had to fit into our world. It had to have a kind of tactical feeling to it too so that it made sense in our universe.

“She’s got rivets that are in the straps across her chest, and those are there as a tribute to the buttons that go down the side of her [most recent] costume [in the comics], as well as the colors that we were using, [which] are a tribute as well. Her colors are navy blue and white with a little bit of black in there, [but] white would not have been pretty on camera so we changed it to grey. [We] still tried to maintain the original style of what was in the comic book because [with] that white panel that goes up her center and down her legs, [so] we’ve mirrored that in her costume but in gray instead of white.”

Agents of SHIELD will tie into Age of Ultron

AGENTS-OF-SHIELD

Via Entertainment Weekly:

Fans of Agents of SHIELD are aware of how big the reprucussions of Captain America: Winter Soldier was on the show. Well, it looks like they’ll be dealing with the fallout of next year’s Avengers sequel.

It should come as no surprise that Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will soon feature some sort of tie-in to The Avengers: Age of Ultron.

After all, following that big reveal in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, S.H.I.E.L.D. picked up the thread that Hydra had infiltrated its ranks. There was even a small crossover with Thor: The Dark World when the agents were tasked with cleaning up the movie’s aftermath. And the big blue alien that saved Coulson (Clark Gregg) was Kree—so that sort of counts as a Guardians of the Galaxytie-in, right?

Now EW can exclusively reveal that the ABC series will connect to the highly anticipated Avengers sequel. “You should expect something,” executive producer Jed Whedon says. “The Avengers is the big tent that all the franchises play under. Obviously, we’re included in that.”

While it’s unclear how the series will tie in to Marvel’s big blockbuster, this probably won’t be as big a crossover as the Winter Soldier once. “I don’t think any movie has the potential to impact us in the way that Captain America 2 did,” executive producer Maurissa Tancharoen says, “but there will be connections.”

Kathryn Leigh Scott is set to appear on Marvel’s AGENTS OF SHIELD in 2015. The DARK SHADOWS actress filmed her scenes earlier in November, but said she’s not in a position to reveal many details about the episode.

“The show is so secretive that I was never given a script, only my dialogue!” Scott said. “I am going to respect their desire to keep the story a surprise … besides, I can’t provide a synopsis because I have no idea what the story is. My episode will air mid-season and I will supply more information as I get it.”

Agents of SHIELD alien race named

Via TV Guide:

During an interview with TVGuide, executive producer Jeffrey Bellconfirmed that the blue alien found in the Guest House was in fact a Kree and it will be made official on the December 2nd episode Ye Who Enter Here.

“Our people don’t know anything about the Kree or that there’s a planet full of them,”notes Bell. “What they do know is that the strange carvings created by Coulson after he was injected with the Kree serum are actually the map of a city, and they need to find that city before Hydra does. But where is it? Here or on another planet?”

The reason this was expects is that we’ve seen other Kree in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Guardians of the Galaxy. Ronan the Accuser was Kree. And this alien race ties into the Inhumans. So it seemed like the obvious answer.
