Via Brickset.com:

The Avengers: Age of Ultron is one of the most eagerly anticipated sequels of all time and the LEGO sets accompanying it have garnered great interest too. Although set names were revealed a few weeks ago it was not until the last couple of hours that images appeared in a German catalogue.

There will be six sets accompanying the film, all of which can be seen here. We have listed the set names, piece counts, minifigures and set images below:

  • 76029 Iron Man vs. Ultron – 90 pieces – Iron Man MK 45, Ultron Drone Officer, Ultron Drones (x2).
  • 76030 Duel with Hydra – 220 pieces – Hydra Henchman, Hawkeye, Thor.
  • 76031 Hulkbuster Rescue Mission – 248 pieces – Hulk, Ultron Prime, Scarlet Witch, Iron Man MK 43.
  • 76032 The Avengers Quinjet Chase – 722 pieces – Captain America, Vision, Black Widow, Ultimate Ultron, Iron Man MK 43.
  • 76038 Attack on Avengers Tower – 511 pieces – Iron Man MK 45, Thor, Iron Legion Drones (x2), Ultron.
  • 76041 Burglary at the Hydra Fortress – Piece count unknown – Quicksilver, Hydra Henchman, Baron Von Strucker, Hulk, Captain America.

It is getting rather late in the UK, so I will leave it there for now, but expect further analysis soon. The last few Legends of Chima sets also appear on pages 82-84, so you can take a look at those too.

This is exactly what I wanted to see in an Avengers: Age of Ultron line, so I am delighted with how these look. Post your thoughts in the comments.

Thanks to Sir_Gareth on the forum for bringing these to our attention and for extracting the images from the relevant catalogue pages.

Via Marvel:

The official website for Avengers: Age of Ultron has launched. Right now, it only has the trailer, a synopsis and some downloadable wallpaper in multiple formats.

Here’s the synopsis:

Marvel Studios presents “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” the epic follow-up to the biggest Super Hero movie of all time. When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to the Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for an epic and unique global adventure.

Marvel’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron” stars Robert Downey Jr., who returns as Iron Man, along with Chris Evans as Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk.  Together with Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow and Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, and with the additional support of Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and Cobie Smulders as Agent Maria Hill, the team must reassemble to defeat James Spader as Ultron, a terrifying technological villain hell-bent on human extinction. Along the way, they confront two mysterious and powerful newcomers, Wanda Maximoff, played by Elizabeth Olsen, and Pietro Maximoff, played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and meet an old friend in a new form when Paul Bettany becomes Vision. Written and directed by Joss Whedon and produced by Kevin Feige, Marvel’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron” is based on the ever-popular Marvel comic book series “The Avengers,” first published in 1963. Get set for an action-packed thrill ride when The Avengers return in Marvel’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron” on May 1, 2015.

Subpoena granted to probe for Age of Ultron trailer leak

Via Deadline:

In a town of secrets and surprises almost no one in Hollywood likes to keep secrets as tightly held like Marvel. So it is no wonder they want to find out how and who leaked the trailer to The Avengers: Age of Ultron two weeks ago. What is surprising is how quickly a federal judge granted the Disney-owned company’s request for a subpoena against Google to do just that.

“YOU ARE COMMANDED to produce at the time, date, and place set forth below the following documents, electronically stored information, or objects, and to permit inspection, copying, testing, or sampling of the material,” Google was told yesterday (read it here). This comes a day after Marvel requested a far-reaching subpoena to probe the October 22 leak.

The November 5 issued subpoena says Google has to bring to court “all identifying information for the user ‘John Gazelle’ ” on November 18 in San Francisco. But Marvel doesn’t get to reach as deep into Google as it wanted. Judge Richard Wieking did not grant Marvel’s request to “permit entry onto the designated premises, land, or other property possessed or controlled by you at the time, date, and location set forth.”

Similar to how Lionsgate went after tech companies after its Expendables 3 pic appeared online during this year’s Comic-Con and ahead of its theatrical release Marvel clearly wants to whack this mole hard. They want “the IP address from which the file named ‘ap-tlr-l_int_360p.mp4’ and containing content known asAvengers: Age of Ultron was uploaded to the Google Drive Site” and everything else they can get on this John Gazelle. One has to assume the company thinks they are looking for an infringer either inside Marvel or Disney or a production house handling the prized trailer. After the leak, Marvel dropped the official version of the trailer the same day — days ahead of its schedule debut.

As previously filed court documents reveal, Marvel lawyers first contacted Google on October 22 about the leak via a “good faith” email to have the trailer removed and obtain information. That email was followed up by a detailed November 4 declaration filing from Marvel’s Executive Director, Global Security & Content Protection Matthew Slatoff for the subpoena under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.

Loki and Heimdall in Age of Ultron

Via The Telegraph:

Idris Elba, who plays Heimdall in the Marvel Universe, was being interviewed by the U.K. paper The Telegraph when he let slip that he and fellow actor Tom Hiddleston (Loki) had been in a scene with Chris Hemsworth (Thor) in the new Avengers: Age of Ultron film.

“Ironically, yesterday I had to…” Elba chuckles. He’s not meant to talk about this, but he clearly enjoys doing things he’s not meant to do. “I’m in Avengers,” he reveals. He means that his Thor character, deity-cum-sentry Heimdall, appears in Age of Ultron, the second instalment of the superhero ensemble franchise. “And I’m doing a scene with Chris Hemsworth [who plays Thor] and Tom Hiddleston [Loki], and they’re like, [whispers] – ‘Aren’t you [meant to be] in Ibiza?’ ” That bassy chuckle again, followed by a frown. Elba came straight to Ibiza party-time from a mythical Norse god/Marvel universe that has made billions at the global box office. His head is all over the place. “That’s why I was p—– about my set yesterday. I really just wasn’t there. I was annoyed.”
